They also love to make them pretty. So with that in mind, I created the best of both worlds, Cake & Buttercream mixes. Our mixes are pre-measured and packaged in such a way that it is as easy and 1-2-3 to make the best scratch cake ever! Without all the muss and fuss. In addition to that, we have video tutorials on how to make our cake mixes AND how to do some professional style decorating!

What Is Scratch Baking?
In its simplest form, scratch baking is baking without using pre-packaged products.
Now, I know what you’re thinking…. (This is a packaged product!). And although you are correct, this packaged product has no additives or preservatives and is pre-measured and ready to go. All you have to do is add the wet ingredients and follow the directions. It’s as if you bought all the ingredients and are baking from scratch, without the hassle of pre-measuring, wasted ingredients you won’t be using in the near future and all the extra clean up that goes along with pre-measuring. This is taking us back to basics but not so far back that we’re grinding our own flour. ;)

Gilda Burke is a self taught baker and cake artist. She is a mother of two and wife to one of NYC’s Bravest. Gilda has been baking and decorating beautiful cakes since 2011 and has owned 2 bakery shops. She has been featured on Food Network’s Cake Wars and The Big Bake.
